Agrilink 2024:
The Best of Philippine Agri to the World
The highly anticipated Agrilink 2024, held from October 3-5, 2024 at the World Trade Center, Manila, was a remarkable showcase of the latest trends, innovations, and solutions in the agricultural sector. Bringing together key players from the local and international agricultural community, the event solidified its reputation as the premier agribusiness expo in the Philippines.
With the theme "Sustainable Solutions for Food Security and Agri-Industrial Growth," Agrilink 2024 attracted over 500 exhibitors and thousands of visitors, ranging from farmers, agribusiness professionals, researchers, students, and government agencies. The three-day event featured interactive exhibits, technical seminars, product demonstrations, and business networking opportunities.

President Bongbong Marcos Announces Cash Assistance and Equipment Distribution for Farmers and Fishermen Affected by El Niño
On July 12, 2024, President Bong Bong Marcos announced that farmers and fishermen impacted by El Niño have received much-needed cash assistance and distribution of various agricultural equipment. This support aims to help them cope with the adverse effects of the prolonged dry spell on their livelihoods. The government’s initiative is part of a broader effort to provide relief to those struggling with the harsh climate conditions. This financial aid is expected to alleviate some of the economic pressures and help sustain their daily needs.

AgriLink is divided into two parts: the exhibition and the hosted events, which include specific crop sector meetings with the Secretary of Agriculture, lectures, and workshops. AgriLink also provides as a forum for agricultural leaders to meet and discuss issues with the country's top leaders, including the Philippine President, leaders and members of the Philippine Senate and House of Representatives, as well as members of the Philippine Cabinet. Agrilink is co-organized by over 30 agricultural associations and institutions each year. Their inputs are used to define the schedule of display activities and seminar subjects, as well as the existence of priority concerns and difficulties in various crop sectors that must be handled with the Secretary of Agriculture.
